Expression of Interest:
WA Cystic Fibrosis Research Collaborative Program Postgraduate Top Up Scholarship

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for the WA Cystic Fibrosis Research Collaborative Program Postgraduate Top Up Scholarship, supporting current and prospective Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students undertaking cystic fibrosis research in Western Australia.


Funded through the Future Health and Research Innovation (FHRI) Fund Co-funding Partnerships Program in collaboration with Conquer Cystic Fibrosis (CCF), the program has already awarded nine research grants and continues to invest in the next generation of CF researchers.


Successful applicants will receive $15,000 per year for three years (2026–2028), providing up to $45,000 to support study and research costs, including living expenses, tuition, conference attendance, equipment and research consumables.


To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be undertaking, or planning to undertake, a PhD, MD or equivalent research project in cystic fibrosis.
  • Be enrolled, or eligible to enrol, full-time at an eligible Western Australian institution.
  • Hold, or be eligible to receive, a competitive three-year postgraduate scholarship (such as an RTP or equivalent).

The scholarship grant round, administered by the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (ACFRT), is expected to open in July 2026 and close in August 2026, subject to sufficient Expressions of Interest.
