Lives unaffected by cystic fibrosis

In 1989 the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (ACFRT) was founded by a group of parents, patients and doctors to secure resources to support cystic fibrosis (CF) research in Australia.

Today after funding more than 300 research projects valued at over $6 million, the ACFRT is recognised as Australia’s largest and most prolific CF research body.
We are delighted to have been able to launch the inaugural Research Review during the 2018 Mental Health Roadshow and look forward to being able to continue to share the incredible research funded by the ACFRT annually.

The 2017/18 Research Review is particularly significant. It is the first time sucha  document has been produced to really highlight the successes of research funded by the ACFRT that are truly making a difference to the way CF is treated.

The production of this book was also generously donated by one of the CF Communities most generous corporate partner - The LJ Hooker Foundation.

The LJ Hooker Foundation has a long history of supporting local communities and it takes pride in the way it gives back. Over the past 20 years, through their 'Partnership in Caring', the LJ Hooker Foundation has donated over $5.5 million for the ACFRT.

We hope you enjoy this very special book and take the time to truly get to know the research we believe in and the wonderful people who have invested their career in improving the care and treatment for people living with CF.
