Lives unaffected by cystic fibrosis

Cystic Fibrosis Australia (CFA) is pleased to announce the 2019 Ann Maree Bosch Career Fellowship for early career scientists working in cystic fibrosis (CF) research.  The Fellowship is an annual grant awarded to one applicant.

The aim of the Fellowship is to facilitate CF researchers learning new techniques and establishing research collaborations.  The Fellowship will be offered to post graduate students nearing completion of their PhD and to recently graduated (up to 2 years) postdoctoral researchers.

The Ann Maree Bosch Career Fellowship will enable early career scientists to travel to a laboratory in an interstate or overseas institution such as a university or research establishment of international standing in the field of CF research.

The recipient of the Fellowship will be able to visit and/or conduct research at the institution and may also have the opportunity to attend an appropriate conference as part of the award.

The recipient of the Ann Maree Bosch Career Fellowship will be required to provide a report to CFA on their use of the award.  In addition and where appropriate, the recipient will be asked to make a presentation at a CFA conference (held every 2 years) in Australia.

The maximum amount awarded under the Ann Maree Bosch Career Fellowship will be $10,000.  The actual amount provided will be subject to approval of the applicant’s budget.

Ann Maree Bosch was a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Australia (CFA) team for over 10 years. She was a collegiate advisor and a supportive font of knowledge. Both CFA and the CF community heavily relied upon her.

Ann Maree’s passion and devotion to the CF cause was ever present and infectious. She has left a legacy that CFA honours with this annual fellowship.
