65 Roses Day - Cystic Fibrosis WA is calling all volunteers to give us a hand collecting donations and selling roses between 7-9am, 11:30am-1:30pm or 4-6pm on Friday 30th May 2014. 65 Roses Day is our biggest fundraising and awareness drive and we need your help to make it happen! There are various public locations in operation including Perth City, Subiaco, Fremantle and Karrinyup Shopping Centre – or why not suggest your own. Volunteers should be secondary school age and over.
Fundraising – help us raise much needed funds by placing a merchandise kit or a collection tin on the counter at your workplace, selling a bucket of roses in your office on 65 Roses Day, holding a causal Friday, a breakfast event, or a Go Red for CF day at your school. Visit our fundraising page for more ideas and info.
Events – Cystic Fibrosis WA is involved in numerous events that depend volunteers to make them a success. Highlights throughout the year are the George Jones Cystic Fibrosis Golf Classic, 65 Roses Day, the Spring Rose Art Show, Convicts for a Cause, Telethon and the Great Strides Walkathon & Carnival. Volunteer roles are varied and can include assisting to source donations, joining the organising committees, helping with the event set up and pack down, serving food and drink, processing registrations, handing out balloons and much more.
Service Provision and Skilled Work – if you can volunteer a skill or service to Cystic Fibrosis WA such as photography, video production, graphic design, printing, publicity or any other specialty we would value your assistance. We work hard to keep our administration costs down so that donations can be used where they are most needed and your support can help us to achieve this.
Communications – help get our message out there by using your own networks to promote upcoming events, general awareness and fundraising opportunities. Cystic Fibrosis WA sends out a fortnightly e-newsletter with up-to-date information on what’s happening and we would appreciate your support spreading the word! If you could like to be on our distribution list, please email our Digital Marketing Co-ordinator.
