Guiding Principles
The following guiding principles underpin the community-based support services provided by CFWA:
We believe that
- our support services should be designed to meet a variety of needs for all ages who are affected by CF, their carers and families;
- our services should be accessible, relevant and able to be delivered in the home.
Through different programs and services CFWA strives to achieve care and support that is:
- individualised,
- flexible
- responsive
This support is to be given by both trained and professional staff.
The intent of CFWA’s services is to complement and support treatment and care given to people with CF through their CF Centre and to supplement regular routine treatment given by their main care-giver.
We as an Association would like to see all services available to all people with CF throughout the state, however there are specific services that can only apply to the metropolitan area.
As part of our commitment to improved and relevant services we conduct an annual review.
Our practice is supported by relevant policies.
