Hospital Kits
CFWA provides ‘Hospital Survival Kits’ to children and adults with CF who are admitted to the PMH or SCGH ward for more than one day. The packs contain a range of age appropriate games and toys for children to help pass the time, as well as snacks and food vouchers. The adult packs contain a range of toiletries, puzzle books, magazines and snacks.
CFWA provides a ‘Newly Diagnosed Pack’ to every family with a newly diagnosed baby. The packs aim to offer support to the family to let them know about the services CFWA can provide for them. A new resource, ‘A Parent’s Guide to CF’ will be available online soon.
