Cystic Fibrosis Western Australia

Resource Centre

users of the libraryThe CFWA Resource Library is now up and running and has a wide range of the most recent publications on an extensive variety of subjects related to Cystic Fibrosis.

The library is located in our office at The Niche, Cnr Aberdare Road and Hospital Avenue, Nedlands. Members are welcome to come in, have a cup of tea or coffee and browse the collection. There is also a computer providing internet access and a TV with VCR and DVD player to enable viewing of audio-visual resources whilst in the centre.

There are numerous resources in the library including DVD’s, videos, fictional books about CF, self help texts and books about alternative and natural therapies. A few of these catagories have been listed on this website for you to browse. By clicking on the titles under each category, you can read abstracts about each book.

We are very grateful to the Honda Foundation and Prestige Honda, Melville for supporting the refurbishment of our Resource Centre.

Can I borrow from the library?

Books and audio visual material can be borrowed from the CFWA library by members only. Up to 3 items may be borrowed at one time and the loan period is 3 weeks.

What about people outside the metropolitan area?

At CFWA we recognise how hard it can be for people in rural and remote areas of Western Australia to access information about Cystic Fibrosis. As a service to our country members, we can mail information on a specific topic to you as requested.

We can also mail books to country members free of charge. However, it is the responsibility of the borrower to pay postage costs associated with returning the item. Extended loan periods can also be arranged for country members and renewals can be made via telephone or e-mail.

Can I purchase any of the titles listed?

Yes, all of these titles are availabe on Amazon.com unless otherwise stated.
