Cystic Fibrosis Western Australia

United Way and HBF workplace giving

21/Jan/2008

Through the generosity of United Way and HBF Cystic Fibrosis WA has been given a $12 300 grant to help young people and adults living with Cystic Fibrosis

United Ways workplace giving grant has made a significant contribution towards Cystic Fibrosis WA for 2008. The workplace giving program is a wonderful way for members of the community to make significant contributions to the health and wellbeing of fellow West Australians and Cystic Fibrosis WA would like to thank United Way and HBF for giving so generously. Cystic Fibrosis WA is currently in the planning stage of implementing “Physio Fun Packs” and “Boredom Buster Bags” to children who are affected by Cystic Fibrosis. Both these packs will positively affect the lives of many children by significantly improving the success of their physiotherapy treatments as well as helping to relieve the boredom associated with distressing and tedious lengths of time in hospital. Furthermore the kindness of United Way and HBF has enabled Cystic Fibrosis WA to look into supplying adults with Cystic Fibrosis greater access to Travel Pari Sprint Nebulisers, Physiotherapy Tables and has given us the ability to purchase a Masimo Rad 5V Handheld Pulse Oximeter.
