Did you know that Ronald McDonald House Charities have a core program called Ronald McDonald Learning Program?
![]() | |
This program supports the educational needs of children recovering from serious illness by providing individual learning programs.
More and more children suffer serious illness and their schooling can be interrupted for long periods of time. Missed education due to serious illness becomes yet another challenge for families to overcome. Children can fall behind in their basic skills such as numeracy and literacy. For some children school becomes frustrating and difficult. Poor self-esteem and loss of confidence can have a negative impact on the child’s ability to learn
The educational assistance available through this program is comprehensive including a range of assessments such as academic and psychometric, a program delivered by highly trained professionals, one-on-one tutorials, written report to parents which can be passed to the child’s school and other features.
Referrals for this program can be made directly by parents. If you believe your child is falling behind as a result of absence and sickness over long periods of time why not telephone
