The 9th Australasian Conference Hosts, Cystic Fibrosis Victoria, have been able to organise (thanks to the generous support of National Australia Bank) for a free webcast which is open to all members of Cystic Fibrosis organisations and their families right across Australia.
The session will be a webcast using PowerPoint slides narrated by one of the major keynote speakers at the Conference, Dr Bonnie Ramsay. You will be able to lodge questions via email and a Q&A session will follow the presentation.
This is the ideal opportunity to link in and find out the latest about what is happening in CF care and the quest for a cure.
TO PARTICIPATE you will need:-
1. To register by midnight Thursday 18th August (See REGISTRATION LINK below)
2. Have access to a PC or laptop which is connected to reasonable speed internet
3. Have speakers and/or earphones connected to your PC or laptop (ie: be able to listen in)
4. Be able to download the Webcast software (if not already installed). Details sent to you on registration.
5. Be able to link in to the Webcast between 10.45 AM and 11.15 AM on Saturday, 20th for a preliminary Webcast Test Run.
ABOUT BONNIE RAMSAY
Dr Bonnie Ramsay is a paediatrician and researcher who has been engaged in a lifelong race to improve care and quality of life for CF patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital in the USA. Bonnie is also the Director of the Center for Clinical Translational Research at the Seattle Children’s Hospital where she works to support the efforts of other researchers who are racing to find cures for a range of diseases – bringing the lab bench and the bedside much closer together.
Bonnie’s research has led to dramatic improvements in the quality and length of lives for people with cystic fibrosis around the world. As an internationally renowned investigator and clinician, Dr. Ramsey’s clinical research concentrates on treating lung infections in children with CF.
At the conference Dr Ramsay will be speaking to Lay participants as well as Medical and Allied Health participants and researchers. Her topics include:-

Azithromycin: the good, the bad and the ugly (Breakfast session)
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Concurrent Session)
