Storing Creon during hot weather
22/Feb/2011
Be aware of the storage conditions of your Creon.
In extremely hot weather, patients are advised to store unopen bottles of Creon in the fridge.
However, opened bottles are not recommended to be stored in the fridge as the constant taking in and out of the fridge may cause condensation and thus cause the capsules to stick together.
Therefore, opened bottles of Creon should be stored in a cool place in the house or in an esky, alternatively if the patient decides to store the opened bottle in the fridge and the capsules stick together then the patient can endeavour to "separate" them as it should not affect efficacy.
