Model West Quest 2008
The chance to be ‘discovered’ and perhaps become a successful model (or movie star) awaits Perth’s young models as WA’s longest-running model quest unfolds for 2008.
Previous winners of this prestigious event have included international movie star MELISSA GEORGE and acclaimed talented Australian movie star EMMA BOOTH.
COURTNEY BROWN, who has been the face of Perth’s Fashion Week and DAVID JONES, was also a winner.
Originally beginning in 1987 as the JUNIOR MODEL & MANNEQUIN OF THE YEAR AWARDS, this is now the ninth year it has been known as MODEL WEST QUEST and young aspiring models will be strutting their style at Preliminary Auditions on Sunday 22 JUNE at the Karrinyup Community Centre.
Semi-finalists will be judged on Sunday 17 AUGUST and the finalists will be presented at a Gala Cocktail Presentation at BURSWOOD ON SWAN RECEPTION CENTRE on Saturday 20 SEPTEMBER.
MODEL WEST QUEST is open to young girls and boys aged between 10 and 18 in three age groups of 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18 in two categories of Catwalk and Photographic. Prizes will include a portfolio photo shoot with photographer DAVID CHONG of PERTH PHOTOGRAPHY.
