FESTIVAL FOR CF - Federation Sq

Performer at Festival for CF

The sun was shining at Federation Square on Saturday 12 March for the Festival for CF. Many people came down to enjoy the live entertainment on the main stage whilst more importantly raising awareness of cystic fibrosis. Passer-byes stopped to see what all the fun was and our amazing entertainers definitely kept them interested!

The Stolen Apples

The Stolen Apples band who have supported CFV for a second year in a row kept the crowd on their feet dancing to both their original songs and some old favourites. We were fortunate to have Bethany Fisher donate her time to perform with her dancers on the main stage. Bethany got all of the kids up dancing and singing until they were exhausted!

Other highlights of the day included Glenn the Magic Man performing a hilarious magic show with his friendly rabbit which blew away both the children and the adults, the incredible circus performers from Ruccis, dance routines from Knox Dance, impressive tap dancing from FootNotes, The Didge Circle showing us how talented they are performing with didgeridoos, Swing Patrol getting the crowd going and the amazing cystic fibrosis temporary tattoos done by Tattooed Sister.

Knox Dance

A huge thank you to our generous volunteers who helped out on the day by tin rattling at Federation Square and at various locations around the CBD.  A huge thank you to our incredible MC Keegs from Fox FM who year after year helps run CFV’s major events.

We would not be able to show what an incredible time everyone had if it wasn’t for Ian Stubber from Snap Happy Ian who took the photos at the Festival.

Thank you to our 2016 event partner, City of Melbourne
