Counselling Assistance Program

Cystic Fibrosis Community Care’s (CFCC) Counselling Assistance Program provides assistance to people with cystic fibrosis (CF) who would like to access counselling services through a psychologist to help manage their CF.

Applicants may be eligible to receive one of a limited number of grants of up to $300 to assist with the cost of seeing a psychologist.

The Counselling Assistance Program is generously funded by the Peaks4CF cycling team.

Applications for 2017 will close Monday 11 December 2017 (or earlier if all available grants have been allocated).

Who can apply

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Be a current member of CFV
  • Be a resident of Victoria (including selected border towns)
  • An adult or child who has CF

How to apply

To apply for support toward the help with the cost of home cleaning you will need to: 

  • Read the terms and conditions
  • Download a Counselling Assistance Program application form
  • Complete all sections of the application form and attach a tax invoice (for reimbursement)
  • Send it to the Manager - Programs and Support Services, Cystic Fibrosis Community Care Victoria via:

  • Applicants will be notified whether they were successful in receiving a grant within 10 business days of their application being received by CFCC
    - If the request is urgent please contact CFCC

Terms and conditions

  • Applicants must:
    -  Be a current member of CFCC
    -  Be a resident of Victoria (including selected border towns)
    -  An adult or child who has CF
  • Grants are limited to one grant a year per applicant
  • The Program will only support/reimburse psychologist fees for sessions held in 2017 that are for the person who has CF
  • The Program will not support/reimburse expenses that have already been supported by CFCC or other services
  • The support will be provided via:
    -  A payment made directly to the psychologist, or
    -  Reimbursement to the applicant if the service has already been paid for - A copy of tax invoice is required
  • A complete Counselling Assistance Program application form must be provided
  • Applications for 2017 will close Monday 11 December 2017 (or earlier if all available grants have been allocated)
