Cleaning Assistance Program

Cystic Fibrosis Community Care’s (CFCC) Cleaning Assistance Program provides short term support to adults who have cystic fibrosis (CF) or parents/carers of a child who has CF who find it difficult to manage their home cleaning due to their (or their child’s) poor health.

Applicants may be eligible to receive one of a limited number of grants of up to $300 to assist with the cost of engaging a cleaning service for a short period until the applicant can organise other support services, such as those offered by many local council services.

Applications for 2017 will close Monday 11 December 2017 (or earlier if all available grants have been allocated).

Who can apply

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Be a current member of CFCC
  • Be a resident of Victoria (including selected border towns)
  • An adult who has CF or the primary parent/carer of a child (under 18 years) who has CF
  • Be experiencing difficulty keeping their home clean because of poor health

How to apply

To apply for support toward the help with the cost of home cleaning you will need to: 

  • Read the terms and conditions
  • Download a Cleaning Assistance Program application form
  • Complete all sections of the application form and attach a tax invoice (for reimbursement)
  • Send it to the Manager - Programs and Support Services, Cystic Fibrosis Victoria via:

  • Applicants will be notified whether they were successful in receiving a grant within 10 business days of their application being received by CFV
    -  If the request is urgent please contact CFCC

Terms and conditions

  • Applicants must:
    -  Be a current member of CFCC
    -  Be a resident of Victoria (including selected border towns)
    -  An adult who has CF or the primary parent/carer of a child (under 18 years) who has CF
    -  Experiencing difficulty keeping their home clean because of poor health
  • Grants are limited to one grant a year per applicant
  • The Program will only support/reimburse expenses from 2017 that are deemed essential by the applicant’s CF Social Worker
  • The Program will not support/reimburse expenses that have already been supported by CFV or other services
  • The support will be provided via:
    -  A payment made directly to the cleaning service, or
    -  Reimbursement to the applicant if the service has already been paid for - A copy of tax invoice is required
  • A complete Cleaning Assistance Program application form must be provided, including, the section to be completed by the applicants CF Social Worker
  • Applications for 2017 will close Monday 11 December 2017 (or earlier if all available grants have been allocated)
