CFSA Board

We are delighted to introduce you to the new Board of Directors of CFSA.  The Board were elected at the AGM in May.

The Board members volunteer their time to ensure we are heading in the right direction strategically and that we are governed ethically and legally. We thank each and every one of them for doing so. 

We are very fortunate that we have been able to elect a board who bring a wide variety of skills, backgrounds, social positions and experience to driving CFSA forward. The Board are as follows:

Kelly Clappis

Kelly Clappis - President

Kelly Clappis is the Executive Producer of Nine News Adelaide, and has a background in commercial litigation. She has been on the Board of CFSA since 2003, with a brief hiatus, and was elected President in 2013. Kelly also co-chairs the Donlan Lawyers 65 Roses Ball.

John Gray - Vice President

John is both a CF parent and an experienced IT professional (Program & Project Management, Service Delivery Management) in a senior position with 2013’s third fastest growing company in South Australia. John has experience in a wide range of industries such as; automotive, banking, utilities, telecommunications, government, aged care & health, mining, aviation, insurance & education.

Gavin Bosch - Treasurer

Gavin is the Chief Financial Officer of a small listed exploration company and has been involved in the resources industry since 1996 in various accounting and finance roles.  He first became aware of Cystic Fibrosis by attending a 65 Roses Ball.  Appointed to the board in 2014 he looks forward to being able to contribute to a great organisation.


Tyne Beeby

Tyne is a lawyer currently practising in workplace insurance law. She joined the board in 2012 after becoming involved with the organisation through a previous CEO and board member. Tyne enjoys being able to contribute her time and skills to assist the organisation in finding new ways to treat and assist those living with CF.  

Gen Handley

Genevieve Handley 

Gen lives with CF and has been on the board since 2005. She is currently studying Sports Physiotherapy and has a background in Biomedical Science. She passionately believes in the importance of research and access to latest treatments and led the community based campaign to get Kalydeco listed on the PBS. 


Robert Handley

Robert has a daughter with CF, and is a secondary maths/science teacher. He joined the Board when Genevieve was diagnosed in 1989, has been President
for a number of years, and still enjoys offering his time and expertise as a Board member. He has advocated for improved health care for children and adults with CF by working collaboratively with the WCH, the RAH and SA Health for many years.

Sally McLennan

Sally has a Bachelor of Law (with Honours) and Bachelor of Management.  She currently works as a Senior Corporate Lawyer with oil and gas company, Santos Limited.  Before joining the legal profession, Sally had a career in human resources across a number of industry sectors.  Sally joined the Board in May 2013.
