Transplant Support
For some people with CF, lung transplantation is a treatment option. CFSA supports people awaiting transplant and once they have undergone the transplant. People from SA who have a double lung transplant do so in either Sydney or more often in Melbourne, and have to stay for a minimum of three months there to recover, be monitored, and learn of the new health regime involved with a transplant.
CFSA offers one off financial support to transplant recipients to assist with the costs of living interstate.
