Volunteer Spotlight

Leonie has worked tirelessly at Bundaberg's Books and Bargains shop for the past four years. During this time she has proved to be an invaluable team member.

Recently Leonie received a well deserved nomination for the Bundaberg Volunteer of the Year awards awarded by Wide Bay Volunteer House. Although Leonie did not win the actual award she is a winner in our eyes.

A tireless worker and quiet achiever Leonie often helps out when other volunteers are unable to.  Her reliability and rapport with the customers and other volunteers is admirable and testiment to her recent nomination.

During the past few months Leonie has mentored two students through a local school work experience program. Leonie also takes a lead role in organising the shop's Book Sales Days.

Without Leonie's dedication, hard work and selflessness for our cause the Bundaberg Books and Bargains shop would not be the great shop it is today.

Congratulations Leonie and thank you!

Pop in to meet Leonie and all of the other wonderful volunteers during the shop's Book Bonanza from 18 June!
