Outreach
Cystic Fibrosis Queensland works closely with health services throughout Queensland. Through the development of supportive networks CFQ offers referrals to hospitals as well as liaison and support to all hospital and community services.
Each year specialist staff from the Royal Children's Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital travel to regional hospitals to conduct outreach clinics.
CFQ attends outreach clinics to ensure that people living in regional areas have the opportunity to catch up with a member of the CFQ support team face to face in their own area. These clinics mean less travel to Brisbane for families and adults during the year.
In 2008, CFQ accompanied staff from RCH and TPCH to visit Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Hervey Bay, Gold Coast and Toowoomba.
