Bookshops
Cystic Fibrosis Queensland runs two secondhand bookshops in Nundah and Salisbury.
The bookshops sell all the ex-library books from the 33 Brisbane City Council libraries.
We also receive many private book donations and consequently the Nundah Bookshop operates as one of the largest second hand bookstores in South East Queensland.
Manager Tony Sherwood runs the two bookshops, assisted by dedicated volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at either bookshops and would like further information please contact Tony Sherwood on details below..
At any one time there are around 50,000 books available for retail sale with another 50,000 in reserve. The Nundah bookshop conducts “ 50% off sales” 3 times yearly. If you would like to be placed on an Email list advising of sales dates please email us at bookshop@cfqld.org.au and place in the subject line “please advise of sale dates”.
We have a comprehensive range of subject matters and because of the big inflow of books from BCC we are unable to maintain a data base and ask customers to come into the shops and do their own searches in well categorised sections.
As at May 31st 2008 the following price list applies for both bookshops but is subject to change without notice:

Whilst we have large quantities of just about everything, we also sell large print books to nursing homes and retirement villages as well as bulk lots of childrens books for special schools and primary schools etc. all at further discounted prices.
Proceeds from the two bookshops benefit Cystic Fibrosis Queensland and The Lord Mayor’s Community Trust.
