Membership
CFQ encourages people associated with CF and the general public to join our organisation or renew an existing membership.
Research from the Charity Commission (UK, 2004) has revealed that charities receive wide-ranging benefits from their members, these include:
- Enhancing the trustee board's transparency and accountability;
- Providing a greater appreciation of the needs of beneficiaries;
- Improving a charity's influence within the charity sector, giving weight to an advocacy role;
- Providing fundraising opportunities; and
- Providing a consistent source of trustees.
CFQ’s Board of Directors and team know the vital role our members play in ensuring much needed services and support continues for our CF client base across Queensland every year. As a member of CFQ you will be making a community contribution and engaging in activities designed to promote and progress the Organisation for the benefit of the CFQ community.
Trusts and Foundations review a charity’s membership base to determine it is a charity of choice and one that pursues best practice. In 2008/2009, CFQ was successful in attracting $177,000 in various grants. We invite you to join CFQ as a member and ensure CFQ’s success in applying for grants in 2010!
Membership fees –
Family or Individual $30.00 (12 months validity)
Concession $15.00 (12 months validity)
Companies $60.00 (12 months validity) – ineligible to vote under CFQ constitution
Benefits include receiving a copy of CFQ News and invitations to all events conducted by CFQ.
