CAAMM Cup 2009

On Friday 24th of July 2009 150 enthusiastic golfers teed it up at Riverside Oaks on a glorious clear morning with the sun shining and a cloudless sky. The 13th annual CAAMM Cup was a huge success and had its biggest field of golfers in its history.
Many members of the CF community travelled long distances to play on the day and there were Interstate Visitors from Melbourne, Queensland and Perth also playing.
Money was raised on the day through a variety of competitions including a Raffle, Beat the Pro, Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and the Gambling Hole. The Jeep Cherokee on offer for a hole in one is safe again for another year, although there were many close calls.
As always the Trivia competition on the course was very challenging and the winners were Peter Bye, David Stewart, Adam Wells and Mark Renshaw
The winning team of John Dudley, Ian Irwin, Ben Anderson and Mark Williams received the Cup and the Runners Up were the Do More Excavation team from Wollongong Shannon Palmer, Stephen Starr, Tony Dosante and Trevor Clements.
The winning ladies team consisted of Tina Strickland, Anna Harvey, Sandi Furness and Mary O’Toole.
We thank Adam Wells who was the MC for the proceedings and he was ably assisted by Nathan O’Donnell, Clare Murray and Tonia Dempsey drawing the Raffle and other prizes
Our sincere thanks to the very professional staff at Riverside Oaks who, as always, were supportive and attentive to the visitors.
Our thanks also to Shelley Dempsey and the Rice Brothers Mark and Ian from Rice Motors, Kerry Gorman from Schenker Australia for donation of prizes.
Mark Bylsma Australian long drive champion, once again lent his support and his huge drives to the CAAMM Cup for the tenth consecutive year.
