CAAMM Cup News

19/Aug/2008

To escape the World Youth Day mayhem, people came from as far as Melbourne and Buff Point to take part in the annual CAAMM Cup.

The CAAMM Cup started off as a result of a TAFE project undertaken in 1993 by Mr Terry Johnson. Terry’s task was to organise a Golf Day. Terry enlisted the help of his good mate Danny Moriarty and the two men have grown a small TAFE project into an annual charity event honouring the memories of Danny’s sisters; Clare and Annmaree Moriarty who passed away from CF. Over the years this “TAFE Project” has raised over $128,000 for Cystic Fibrosis NSW!

A BIG thank you to Terry for all your hard work and Danny for your support with this year’s CAAMM Cup raising $13,013.09!

The CAAMM Cup was delighted to showcase the talents of Mark Bylsma, Australian Long Drive Champion who awed players with his skill and power on the course.

The CAAMM Cup would not have been the success that it was if we did not have the generous of support of sponsors including: Inghams, Jaycar Electronics, Rice Motors, Do More Excavations and Leroy Excavations.

A special mention to RICE MOTORS for donating an outstanding hole in one prize, a gorgeous MR2 convertible! To the disappointment of many, the hole in one had no mercy and dodged every ball that came near. Many players came close, there is always next year….
