The CF Cup - June 13
On Sunday, June 13, sixty like-minded people got together to participate in the inaugural ‘The CF Cup’ Indoor Soccer tournament. Eight teams representing eight countries from around the world came together to play for Indoor Soccer’s ultimate prize – ‘The CF Cup’.
After a hard fought series of games, ‘Brazil’ came out on top as the 2010 champions, with ‘England’ and ‘Romania’ placing a valiant second and third respectively.
The CF Cup raised $1554 from entry fees and donations. CF awareness in the community was raised with advertising and promotion of CF and The CF Cup on the following websites, with poster boy Angus McCulloch featuring as ‘The CF Cup’ mascot on the following websites.
- The Football Federation of Australia
- The Football Association of NSW
- The Green and Gold Army
- Canada Bay City Council
Special thanks must go to The Five Dock Leisure Centre for waiving the venue hire fees for day.
All players on the day had a great time and can’t wait for the next ‘The CF Cup’ to take place.
