Breathe Life Ball - June 19
The Breathe Life Ball for Cystic Fibrosis was held on Saturday 19th June 2010 at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney. The evening was a great success and guests danced all night long to wonderful music performed by United Notions. Doyle Greive, a young adult with Cystic Fibrosis, made a beautiful speech, followed by a touching video featuring the children of our wonderful Breathe Life Ball committee members.
The event has raised a $83,000 net profit so far and money is still coming in. It will help us to fund our existing support and education programmes, it will enable us to introduce new services in the future to meet the needs of our CF community and it will allow us to continue to fund vital research through the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust in the hope of finding improved treatments and an eventual cure for CF.
It simply would not have been possible to generate such a fantastic amount of money without the support of our guests and our kind sponsors and donors. Special mention must go to our Gold Sponsors: Masterprinting, Geoffrey King Advertising, Triple “M” Group of Companies, Georg Fischer Piping Systems and GraysOnline for their invaluable support.
Lastly, the ‘Breathe Life’ Charity Ball would not have been possible without the commitment of our volunteer committee: Olivia Bartholomew, Geoff and Lisa Briggs, and Annie Finn who have worked tirelessly to help put this event together. Cystic Fibrosis NSW would like to thank them for their generosity, hard work and enthusiasm over the past 6 months.
