65 Roses Day - May 28

On Friday May 28, hundreds of CF supporters sold 65 Roses Day Merchandise and collected donations at train stations, in stores, and at schools and companies around New South Wales. To further raise money and create awareness throughout the community, some of them also organised their own fundraising activities.
One of the great successes was the 65 Roses Auction organised by Sarah Barnett, mum of gorgeous, 8 month old Wyatt Hamilton who has CF. She and her husband Luke decided to organise a dinner with a silent and live auction and a raffle, at the Western Star hotel in Dubbo. With generous donations from local businesses, wonderful community support and great publicity from local radio stations and newspapers, they raised an impressive $6,143. Congratulations to Sarah and Luke for this great initiative! You can read Sarah’s story in the CF Stories section of the September CF Connections.
All of these activities have helped to raise more than $36,000 for CFNSW to provide a range of services to assist people living with CF and their families, as well as contribute to important research.
Our thanks to all of you who supported 65 Roses Day 2010!
We are planning a fantastic new range of products for the next awareness day for Cystic Fibrosis on Friday May 27, 2011. You will find more information on this website early in the New Year.
