| Cystic Fibrosis Australia is having a fantastic year this year. It is in no small part to those who have pledged their support to fight against Cystic Fibrosis. To the fundraisers, donors, volunteers and anybody who helped our cause, I would like to send out a huge THANK YOU! We also appreciate the very generous support of the Ian Potter Foundation, ASX Reuters Thompson Charity Foundation and the Angior Family Foundation. Of course LJ Hooker continues to be a prime example of Sharing and Caring. Many of the projects that we have prioritised as being of significant importance, have started in earnest this year...

| Each newsletter we will bring you a fundraising story on our Fundraiser Spotlight section. These are by no means the only fundraiser stories that we could print. In fact, we could post hundreds of fantastic and dedicated efforts that have supported us. If you have a fundraising story that you think should be shared, email us at facebook@cysticfibrosisaustralia.org.au. | The Great Escape car rally is one of the major fundraising events for Cystic Fibrosis Australia. Each year, the rally raises over $400,000 for life-saving Cystic Fibrosis research and services. The Great Escape is just about to get underway for 10 days starting Monday 13th September. Routes change every year, and this year we are starting at Echuca, going through rural Victoria and South Australia via Kangaroo Island, and finally concluding at Batemans Bay. We are proud to have 52 cars enter this year’s event and wish them the best of luck. For more information, or to consider entering next year’s event, go to www.thegreatescape.org.au It’s a “rally” good time! |

| Cystic Fibrosis Australia is lucky enough to be a beneficiary of the ASX Thomson Reuters Charity Foundation. One way in which the foundation helps us raise money is through a lottery that begins in September. Cystic Fibrosis Australia will receive all the funds raised through its own ticket sales. We appreciate all your help and will be calling around to secure support. If you’re keen to enter, and have a chance to win some awesome prizes, please call (02) 9878 5250, or email lottery@cysticfibrosisaustralia.org.au. Last year, the prizes were as follows... | ![]() | |||
| Every newsletter we encourage you, the reader to submit questions to our expert panel of specialists. Thanks goes out to Dr. Adam Jaffe from Sydney for organising the panel, as well as all of the medical community that volunteers their time to answer these questions. | The past three months, Cystic Fibrosis Australia has been blessed with the presence of a young talented intern named Carina. She has had some big shoes to fill, and has done it with grace and ability. We were truly lucky to Carina with us for the past few weeks. Those in the Great Escape, or running for us in the City2Surf have probably had contact with her already... |
