I would like to gratefully acknowledge the following donations from the CF Associations along with a grandmother of a child with CF who has raised a large amount of money from an initiative that she set up about 18 mths ago, called the Justin's 65 Roses Project.

Thank you to the following:

  1. CF ACT.   $7047.25  A small voluntary group that run their Assoc.they assist people with CF in the ACT and always find money to give to research and again we acknowledge this wonderful donation.
  2. CF South Aust. $5000.This money is made up from a number of donations within the SACF community along with money from the CF SA Assoc. Again we wish to thank all involved in putting this cheque together.
  3. Maureen Russell. $10000. As I indicated, Maureen has a grandson with CF and about 18 mths ago set a ordering system for machine embroidery designs with various designs of roses. The designs have been donated by embroidery digitisers from USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia, the copyright is retained as the property of the digitiser. The majority of the designs were donated by Australians, all of these can be purchase by going to the web site www.justins65roses.com Maureen is continuing with her project and hopes to grow the business which means more money for ACFRT. Maureen is from Western Australia.  More
The total from these donations is $95558.74.  Again, we would like to thank all involved in generating this grand sum so all CF people will benefit from wonderful work that our researchers carry out on a daily basis. In regard to CF research I feel Australia punches above its weight and this can be seen from the results of the past few years and the recognition and the acknowledgement they receive from the rest of the world.

CF Stories

dancing munchkinsHi My name is Rebekah Davison. I am nine, and I have CF. We all know that we need to do good exercise to keep our lungs healthy. My favourite exercise is Irish dancing. I started doing Irish dancing when I was 5, at the Carroll School of Irish Dance. I think it is great fun. We do lots of skipping and jumping, and it makes me work really hard.   More
