10 Year Anniversary
04/Dec/2008
On the 24th October 2008 Cystic Fibrosis and L.J. Hooker celebrated their 10 Year Anniversary at an exceptionally party like cocktail evening at the magnificent Australian Golf Club in Sydney.
A definite sign of an enjoyable night is when guests are reluctant to leave! This was the night to say thank you to the L.J. Hooker network and operations people for or 10 year partnership during which “thousands” of events throughout Australia have taken place at L.J. Hooker offices to raise funds for research. Bike rides, fairs, walkathons, duck races, balls, auctions, sausage sizzles...........many sausage sizzles!, have raised over $3,000,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis community.
Alan Lambert, Deputy MD of L.J. Hooker spoke fondly of our partnership and all that it has achieved. He was presented with a fine vintage wine, Penfolds 389, bottled in 1998 as the partnership was beginning. Like this wine, our relationship has matured beautifully. Alan, along with Terry Stewart the CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Australia and Mitch Messer the President of Cystic Fibrosis Australia cut a layered white sponge cake to represent the many layers and complexities of our long standing relationship.
Many of the people who were with us at the start attended the evening, Angry Anderson, the Wolverines John Clinton and Lee J Collier. L.J. Hooker Cessnock, Avalon, Caringbah, Epping, Double Bay, Menai and Kaleen attended along with the Head Operations team. CFA director Tim Webster acted as MC for the evening.
Cystic Fibrosis Australia and the CF State Organisations say “Thank You Mr Hooker for the past 10 Years”.
