Life expectancy and the quality of life for people living with Cystic Fibrosis has just received a major boost thanks to LJ Hooker Financial Services at Burleigh Heads.
Their latest Golf Charity Day raised $13,000, bringing their total amount contributed to Cystic Fibrosis Research in the past six years to $80,000.
“This is an amazing effort by an individual office. The long term support we have received from Noel Maher and the team over the past six years has been outstanding,” said Terry Stewart CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Australia.
“That money will go towards research to help improve the lives of people living with Cystic Fibrosis and ultimately it will help us find a cure.”
LJ Hooker has been associated with CF Australia for the past 11 years and has raised in excess of $3 million dollars for research in that time.
“We are proud to be associated with an organisation that really makes a difference to lives of people living with such a debilitating illness,” said Noel Maher Principal LJ Hooker Financial Services Burleigh.
“The Charity Golf Day at Emerald Lakes was a huge hit all round, with almost every LJ Hooker office on the Gold Coast represented. True to our theme for the day plenty of ‘fun in the sun’ was had by all.”
A charity auction was also held to help contribute to the total of funds raised.
“I am always impressed with how smoothly this golf day runs with all elements coming together so well – great location, high participation numbers, involvement both by LJH customers and suppliers – makes a really great day and one I am thrilled Cystic Fibrosis is associated with,” Terry added.
