How to get started
Step 1 - Choose an activity
Get creative! Come up with your own fantastic fundraising idea, or check out our Top Fundraising Tips for some popular suggestions!
Step 2 – Register
Complete our Fundraiser Registration Form and send it in to us at least three weeks before your event so we can give you all the support we can!
Step 3 - Get organized
Start early – give yourself as much time as possible to plan and organize your event. Assemble a great team – fundraising events are a great way to bring your friends, family and workmates together to have fun and make a difference.
To help you make the most of your events and activities, you can download the following documents to help you get started straight away:

- Planning Guide - full of useful tips on fundraising ideas
- Publicise your event - for further information about how to approach local media, writing a press release and other ways to get your event noticed.

Step 4 - Order fundraising materials
We have a range of items available to help you promote your event such as merchandise, t-shirts, posters and leaflets. Download our Fundraising Materials Order Form and send it in to us at least three weeks before your event to make sure they reach you in time!
Step 5 - Send in money you have raised
Once your event has taken place, please download, complete and enclose a Fundraising Results Form with a cheque for the funds raised, or the amount deposited directly into our bank account. Cheques should be made payable to: “Cystic Fibrosis Queensland'.
