Tasmanian Young Achiever 2008

Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania President Aaron Mackrill has been named as the Premiers Tasmanian Young Achiever of the Year 2008 for his community service work.
The Tasmanian Young Achiever Awards 2008 were held on April 12th at Wrest Point Casino in Hobart. CF Tasmania President Aaron Mackrill was named as a finalist in the Rio Tinto Alcan Community Service Award category, and not only did he win that category, he was chosen by Tasmanian Premier Paul Lennon as the overall winner out of the 8 category winners. Out of 150 initial nominees over the 8 categories, this is definitely a remarkable achievement for Aaron. He was also named a semi-finalist in the Spirit of Tasmania category. Aaron is a 27 year old with CF who had a double lung transplant in 2000.
