Tassie Team Success at Australian Transplant Games

Tasmania had great success at the recent Australian Transplant Games held in Perth, WA, winning the Donor Family Shield for the most medal points per competitor.

Tasmanian cystic fibrosis sufferer and double lung transplant recipient Aaron Mackrill was the team manager for the games, and came home with 12 medals, winning gold in petanque (pairs), ten pin bowling (pairs) & golf, silver in squash, darts, table tennis (singles) & discus, and bronze in petanque (singles), table tennis (pairs), 100M (athletics), long jump & ten pin bowling (singles). The Tasmanian team consisted of 5 athletes, and won over 30 medals in total.
