David Nelson's Bike Ride Across Australia
David Nelson has completed his pushbike ride around Australia. He returned to Martin Place in Sydney on Monday the 17th December 2007. He rode out from this location on March the 1st and after a journey lasting 292 days he returned to a warm welcome. David rode 17,852 Kilometres during this time raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.

David rode 17,852 Kilometres during this time raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.David was welcomed home by friends and staff members of Cystic Fibrosis Australia, resplendent in bright Cystic Fibrosis Tee Shirts made especially for the occasion with the route David cycled printed on the back.
During his journey David received donations for Cystic Fibrosis from generous Australians totalling $9,000. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO GAVE TO DAVIDS RIDE!!
During this eventful ride David experienced almost every human emotion, meeting all kinds of wonderful Australian and International identities. He will be writing a book about all the highs and lows during his journey as he has kept a daily diary. David has offered for part of the funds raised from his initiative to go to Cystic Fibrosis.
