Canberra Cystic Fibrosis Charity Ball
A little history!
Some time back, Greystones Estate decided that they wanted to sponsor and run at least one major charity function each year (a small contribution in giving a little back to the community). The idea was to stage a single event at minimum cost to maximise proceeds to our chosen charity.
After significant deliberation Greg Birch (Greystones Estate) decided to get the first event in 2007 up and running and approached our L.J. Hooker office to assist. Together we want to support Cystic Fibrosis Australia. We chose Cystic Fibrosis because it is a debilitating disease affecting children’s lungs and digestive system. A baby is born with CF in Aus every 4 days. Despite significant research outcomes in the last decade, primarily related to improving life expectancy, there remains no cure and CFA recieves no Government funding. The fight must continue.
