Rick Faulks Charity Cycle

27 July - 29 August 2009

Rick Faulks was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth.  Throughout his life, Rick has always been an active sportsman and has participated in many different types of activities. Over time, as his lung capacity has diminished, Rick has discovered new sports to enjoy and took up cycling five years ago.

Rick’s goal is to cycle 1,800 km - from Cairns to Brisbane - in 34 days in July 2009 to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.  He wants to show people living with cystic fibrosis that you can realise your goal and make the best use of the abilities that you have.

For more information or to support Rick's ride please visit www.rickfaulkscharitycycle.com

Rick is also looking for supporters that can help sell raffle tickets in support of his ride.  If you can support Rick in this way please contact Megan or Rick by email or by phone 0438 544 457.

2008 Sunshine Coast Law Association Annual Ball

2009 SCLA

Over 130 guests donned masks to raise much needed funds for CFQ at the annual Sunshine Coast Law Association’s Charity Ball and Auction.  The 2008 event was a masquerade theme with all guests getting in to the spirit of the evening with high spirited bidding in both the silent and main auctions and a very competitive game of heads and tails.  Guest’s enjoyed a two course meal and danced the night away to local band “Cut Lunch”.

Our thanks to major supporters Ramsay Clout, Queensland Law Society, ANZ, Poole & Partners, Shine Lawyers and Caloundra RSL.
